Molecules in the Ultra-Cold regime

We are interested in applying laser cooling and trapping techniques to atoms and simple molecules for studies in the area of chemistry, physics, and astrochemistry/astrophysics.

Chemistry - chemical reactions in the cold (< 1 mili-Kelvin) and ultracold regime (< 1 micro-Kelvin). 

Physics - many-body physics with quantum gases of molecules

Astro - ion-neutral atom/molecule reactions and dynamics relevant to interstellar processes
